I’m going to begin this post on quite a negative tone because this was supposed to be posted yesterday in the afternoon! I scheduled the post because I didn’t have time to post it but when I checked today, IT DIDN’T POST!!! Maybe it has something to do that I am awful with technology or maybe I could just blame it on blogger! I am so enraged because now I have to post 2 of them today, which wasn’t the plan, and I like following steps and plans; my thinking process is now all over the place. Regardless of that issue, I hope you still enjoy the post. This one is a little shorter than the rest because I am still working on the concept.
Here is the original post:
Welcome back! The next step for my project was figuring out if I needed to buy anything else to create the looks for my photos. Clothes wise, I have all the pieces I need; with some temporary altering, they’ll fit my models perfectly! As for makeup, I will be the one doing it obviously so I went through my makeup collection to see if I needed some common, yet very crucial products. While looking through my eyeshadow palettes, I realized that the colors would work just fine since I have the Jaclyn Hill Morphe palette and the Kylie Jenner Burgundy palette, and they both have some warm tones like orange, yellow, pinks, and even some blues and greens. These palettes will be useful for the more dramatic looks (I will be sure to include some pictures of the looks I have previously created that could work as inspiration). The face makeup (foundation, concealer, powder) I have will also work since my friends will bring their own shade when they come for the photoshoots. The only makeup I decided to buy was fake eyelashes. In a lot of ads, even mascara ads, it says in the fine print that the model is wearing lash inserts. Even for the natural looks, fake eyelashes are used so that they can add some flair and attention to the natural lashes. The lashes I got are individual lashes, which means I can add them in pieces to any part that needs some more, so I am not limited to having to use a strip lash that may be too long, too big, etc.
As for the cover, I am planning on a natural and glowy makeup look. Even though I haven’t planned the picture to its entirety, I know that it will be outdoors so I will use products like highlighter and face spray so that the sun accentuates the cheekbones and other areas of the face. For the table of contents and maybe some ads, I know I want to include some dramatic glam look to add color, but also to add more to the beauty portion of the magazine. When it comes to the 2-page spread, the makeup is mainly face makeup since it is all about a technique using face powder, so for that, I will obviously focus on making the face makeup as flawless as possible, using face spray, primer, foundation, etc.

I know this post is shorter than my usual ones but that is because I just had to get my ideas out there so that I have it organized and planned, that way when it comes time for the photoshoots, I am not entirely stressed out about what to do.
